Hepatitis B is a liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). HBV infections can be acute, or a long-term, chronic infection. Chronic HBV can lead to serious health issues, like cirrhosis or liver cancer.


In 2017, total HBV patient population reached 96.2 million in China, and there were 1.0 million newly infected HBV patients.


There is still no functional cure against HBV in the market.
